Breast Health

There is so much discussion regarding what to do after a problem or disease situation arises in the breasts.  Very little is offered up about how to actually take care of and nurture them-possibly preventing these problems in the first place.

Whether you are male or female, this topic is important to you.  All of the following suggestions are applicable and valuable to everyone, male/female, young/old, healthy or facing health challenges.

Some of the factors which can contribute to breast dis-ease are hypothyroidism, iodine deficiency, poor colon/bowel health, reduced liver detoxifying function, essential fatty acid deficiency, improperly fitting bras, abnormal stress, low fiber diet, emotional/psycho/spiritual imbalances, excess intake of methylxanthines (coffee, tea, cola, chocolate, and caffeinated medications).

If you honestly look at the above list of contributors, it’s easy to see how most of us fall into these categories!  UPGRADING YOUR DIET can make the difference between health and disease.  Why wait for a negative diagnosis or an uncomfortable situation?  Incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables, salads containing fresh dandelion greens and baby greens, and reduce sugar intake to close to nothing.  Drink a lot of water and do what you have to do make your bowels move at least twice a day.  Drink naturally decaffeinated green tea.  If you are stressed or high strung drink herbal teas made of a kava blend, a skullcap blend, an oatstraw blend, etc., daily.

More Suggestions for Breast Health:

•Exercise regularly forever! Studies show that women who exercise experience a reduction in sleep disorders, depression, fibrocystic breast disease, and breast cancer.

•Essential fatty acids are crucial to overall health- they can be found in blue-green algae, evening primrose oil, and flax seed oil.

•Antioxidants will neutralize free-radical damage- Cell Tech’s Super Sprouts and Algae, Cell Tech’s Co-Q10, carrots, apricots, dark green leafy vegetables, red peppers, sweet potatoes.

•Superfood green drinks such as Cell Tech’s Green Drink contain high amounts of greens and other anti-oxidants as well as fiber.

•Include olive oil in your diet. Studies show that women who include olive oil in their daily diet have a 25% lower incidence of breast cancer.

•Include seaweeds in your diet- women who include regular intake of sea vegetables have a significantly lower rate of breast disease.

•Probiotics are beneficial because excess hormones can exit via the colon or be recirculated in the blood if the colon environment is not balanced.  Acidophilus is crucial here- Cell Tech has a \powerful line of Probiotics.

•Find a release valve for your stress.  According to Chinese medicine, stress, frustration and unresolved anger can play an important role in all breast disease.  It is suggested daily relaxation methods be used to reduce stress such as yoga, meditation, relaxation therapy, etc.

•Eat Organic!  In order to avoid pesticides and other chemicals which act like concentrated estrogen hormones, it is vitally important to eat foods that are organically grown.

•Breast massage is very important!  Use wonderful essential oils such as Lavender and citrus oils added to carrier oil such as almond and massage everyday- great in the bath or shower!  Let your breasts soak in hot water containing Epsom salts and essential oil of Lavender and then massage them gently.
